About The 15k, 10k & 5k Race

With a distance for every level of runner and walker, the Fort De Soto 15k, 10k, & 5k is a great way to ease into the running race season after a long, hot, Florida summer.

An early morning start, coinciding with a spectacular sunrise, gets you running while it’s still cool and breezy. Though you are never running on the sand, you can see Fort De Soto’s award-winning beach from various points along the course.

Depending on which distance you run, you’ll get to experience the natural beauty of the park – a gorgeous view of the Sunshine Skyway from East Beach, the remains of the historic fort which dates back to 1898, and a shady nature trail through Arrowhead Park.

Parking is plenty and pre-paid to avoid a bottle-neck at the entrance. There are plenty of aid stations on the course with water and Gatorade.

“I really appreciate the quality of events that you put on for the Bay Area . . . the courses are scenic and easy to follow, the volunteers are super supportive along the water stops, and the medals are AWESOME! I look forward to participating in your races for years to come. ” – Emily Arends, Clearwater, FL
